MPSSA was established in 2022 following a redistribution of schools in the Razorback PSSA as a result of the increasing population in the Macarthur area. At present, it consists of 12 schools with the scope for this to increase as more schools are established.

The main purpose of the association is to give students access to the representative school sport pathway. The pathway starts at a school level and in most programs, culminates at a School Sport Australia Championship. MPSSA, one of ten zones affiliated with the Sydney South West School Sport Assosication (SSWSSA), holds trials and championships to select MPSSA teams to attend SSWSSA championships throughout the year. Macarthur Primary School Sports Association is proud of the opportunities it affords the students and staff in the Macarthur area.

MPSSA acknowledges and honours the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play.
